nope, i've barely been out of Mn....Wisconsin (somewhere around 32 years ago)...and Iowa 15 years ago...
but i know a guy that married a woman from the Philipenes...a mail order bride, believe it or not...

I beleive it, I've worked with a few "mail order" asian brides, some are happy, some are not...some, from any country are here to send money home, establish themselves and then it's divorce time...
(we did a thread on mail order brides once...interesting....I think the majority of them come from Russia now)
JSCO, I don't know much about the Philipines at all, but check the online TV listing for the TRAVEL channel...
I love watching the TRAVEL channel, They show you the usual tourist stuff, and some little known attractions, let you know about the culture ettiquette and the food too.

I've looked at many things online about the Philippines and it seems an interesting place. Especially the dives on WW2 warships. Not that I'm in good enough shape to do that, but it sounds interesting.--hehe At least they give you tanks of oxygen.  Even checked the travel warnings.

Thanks, but tend not to venture in places I use to.-- Actuallly, there are many advisories concerning the Philippines, including where not to go--hehe just thought I'd see if anyone has been there in recent years.

Enjoy your trip whereever you go! Hell....there's so much of Missouri I haven't gotten around to seeing yet...I'd love to do so much more traveling than I have...

it just kind of bothers me that I've never traveled to other countries. I've thought about going to China, Russia and Ukraine too. There's so much history in those places.
