Re: Christmas attitude
I'm good! Husband got a decent job this year, he usually works with a temp service and is unemployed during this time the past few years, but this year he got a pretty good direct hire job....so...I've been able to indulge more into the Toys for Tots, the Boy Scouts drive for the food pantry, a few dollars for some other holiday collections and just that puts me in a real good mood!

Re: Christmas attitude
This time of the year sucks for me. I like the festive spirit, but am usually not ble to enjoy them. By this time of year, winter, heating and electric bills have taken there toll. I'm so broke I can't pay attention. Usually I fall into a moderate depression and it will last until spring. I guess they call it the "winter blues". I just keep being reminded that I have to get a lot more serious about finding a second job.

Oh I know that feeling....too many Holidays I've spent scraping by, worrying about heating fuel, keeping the electric on, and not being able to just give my parents a few simple Christmas gifts, let alone get a little joy out of a few modest donations to worthwhile organizations.
This is the first year in so many now, that Christmas doest't totally suck for me.

Re: Christmas attitude
i love the christmas season, really. but it kinda gets me down when i realize that i can't afford to get very many presents for my kids, and friends. i also have issues with christmas carols...after hearing them, non-stop, for 8 hours a day at work?...if i hear "let it snow" one more time....
but generally, i have a decent holiday attitude...

Re: Christmas attitude
i dont have much "Christmas spirit" amy more , because as i entered last year, my mother died on Dec. 27,1998 . Christmas was moms favorite holiday and i know she held on long enough so she wouldnt "spoil" it for the rest of her beloved family. i did have a nice conversation with my son about this last night and he understands my feelings.it (Christmas) will never again give me the same joy as in the past...................................

Re: Christmas attitude
Christmas is very hard this year. I am here with the kids, working all the time and just trying to keep the spirit up. Thank God for kids, if it wasn't for them, there are days when it would be hard to even consider the holidays.
And thank you = all of you here! It is nice to know I can just log in, and touch base with such wonderful people.
