A reprieve..........
Last evening, I was informed by email that the BARRY MANILOW show (12/27), that my wife and I had tickets for in LAS VEGAS, has been canceled by the performer himself. We are leaving the day of the next available show so we miss out!
As you can imagine, my wife is disappointed and of course I'm devastated!! I don't get to hear him belt out those testosterone driven songs such as MANDY, I WRITE THE SONGS, ect.
My week in LAS VEGAS won't be the same without 'ole BARRY......

Oh...can't you stay in Vegas a little longer? Long enough to get into Barry's show?
Oh well, so what are you going to do now, see another show?
I heard Celine Dione closed out now too...
There's always Wayne Newton I guess...

I wonder where Wayne Newton is playing now? Especially since the hotel that he was playing at, is no longer there. They imploded it to make way for a new bigger and better hotel. I liked staying at that hotel also.

We had seen WAYNE NEWTON's show 4 years ago in LAS VEGAS. Great, great show!! He is on hiatus because of a health issue. He used to be at the STARLIGHT but seeing that casino is no more, I don't know where he'll be performing when he recovers.

I don't know who is playing in Vegas anymore, maybe a magician...oh sorry, they are called "illusionists" now...
I was never big on magic shows, but they have come a long way lately...Chris Angel (annoying man, but does some cool stuff)
Blue Man Group is one show I've kinda wanted to see, but I think they are on tour now...

From what I understand, the BLUE MAN GROUP has more than one touring group out there. As for seeing them, I don't know if my wife LORI would be interested in seeing them, but I certainly would!
As for my great disappointment in the cancellation of the BARRY MANILOW show on our last night there, I had made special arrangements to be seated near a men's room just in case 'ole BARRY belted out "MANDY" and I simultaneously experienced an urge to purge. Oh well, those plans are for naught.......
