Not sure bud, but try pressing the Scroll Lock button on the keyboard and see if it changes back to normal

Don't have any realtime experience with cybershot H7, but in general I have high regards for Sony stuff. And I like Chazzys idea of system restore. Butt if it dosn't work remember it was her ideer

Re: a quick dumb one
well we thought of that but we wont use the video but for a few occasions per year. mostly going to be taking lots of photos. a guy i know said this is a great camera and has tolerable video capabilities... so instead of buying a couple hundred dollar video camera that will see very limited use we thought this might be a way to go.
especially since we dont have that much cash to toss around and its only going to be getting a LOT tighter around here shortly.

Now as I recall tight is good...Oh but then were speaking about money so I suppose it's not. Back to the video thing...If you don't mind looking at video about the same size as the free short movies are on here but with a good bit less image quality I guess it might be ok. Everything I've seen in the way of still camera video modes and for that matter still images from video cameras are nothing to brag about. Not trying to bash it or even talk you out of it but I'd hate to see you disappointed after spending a good bunch of cash. It's kinda like cell phones. Never seen one with any kind of image quality in still or video modes. some people might be happy with um because they do everything but I grew up in the world of photography and have seen what good image quality is. Few affordable digitals really make the mark. Lucky for them the current consumer has devolved in the the area of what a photo should look like and almost anything goes nowadays. In the industry it's known as the "dumb down factor". I digress!

Re: a quick dumb one
I have the cybershot dsc-w35 which is a fantastic camera with surprisingly good video capability, if that's any use?
I expected it to be so-so for video, but it really impressed me.
