DEATH OF A VERY DEAR SWEET FRIEND
I just received the phone call I've been dreading for several months. Smitty, known as Fred to those friends he cherished, has passed away. His son called me to let me know this evening. Smitty has been in poor health for sometime now worsened by the death of his precious Terri in March of this year. His son and daughter found him, after stopping by to check on him yesterday because they had not heard from him for a few days. I had talked with him on Saturday and he was having problems breathing but promised he would go to the Dr.
Smitty leaves behind a beautiful grandson, a daughter and a son, his dog Fudge and all of the friends he has made on this site.

I am very sorry to hear such nice guy will not be here at WN anymore...My thoughts are with his family and close friends. He will be missed.

so sorry to hear the news, i never really talked to him all that much but he seemed to be a nice guy , he will be missed, pass my thoughts and condolences on to his family

I feel bad, i had many good chats with him, since we were both Air Force, we hit it off easy. He was there for comfort when my aunt passed. A hell of a nice guy ,I will surely miss him, Have a good flight my friend

This is such a shock to hear about Smitty. He will be missed very much. When I first came on webnaughty, he was one of the first ones I talked to. I will always remember him with fond memories.

I am so sad to hear our dear friend Smitty has passed away.
He was one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet, with never a bad word to say about anyone.
I feel honoured to have been his friend and his memory will long live on.

Smitty was the kind of person that always put a smile on everyone's face the moment his name appeared in the chat room. He was sweet, funny, and always fool of wit. I will miss him dearly.. truly a sad day

Smitty was one of the first guys here I met in chat. I wonder if he really knew how damn funny he was? Such a quick wit and a wealth of knowledge! And could be serious when the situation called for it. Peace Smitty

I am sure Liz met him at the gate to heaven to welcome him and let him know he is with friends. I am sure they are chatting it up. It is a hard time for all of us at this time of year. Its a time to cry. Its a time to look back and smile. We will always keep them in our hearts. Kelly
