Christmas trees
Well most have there trees up and as Christmas nears its time for my final decoration and thats my tree.We load up and head to the tree farm to pick and cut our tree.I just can't get into having some artificial tree standing in my house.Though the mess it leaves is quite the chore cleaning the aroma and beauty are well worth it.

Re: Christmas trees
With my cats....I don't have one in the house, it would never last!
But I love the evergreen scent too, so I decorate outside with it.

Re: Christmas trees
I've never had a real tree, mine is really nice and looks like it's all covered in snow. It has blue and silver decorations on it with white and blue lights.
I have three trees in doors, i do have two 20ft fur trees out the front of my house which get covered in lights.

Re: Christmas trees
We use to do a real tree, But with the animals we have been doing a fake. I love the scent of a real tree but not the mess. And this way I can put my tree up after Thanksgiving and it stays up till January.I have the Glass ornaments now with bows and strings of beads. When the kids were little I had all there ornaments on the tree all the ones they made.

Re: Christmas trees
We've had real trees for the past 4 years and decided to buy a decent fake one this year, it is gorgeous with white lights all over it, plus the kids decorated the tree this year - it looks quite good actually - and I was more comfortable with them wrecking a fake tree than a real one.
Love the smell and the shape of a real one but cant do the mess and the constant watering and the floppy branches!!

Now that sounds beautiful. I would like to see your house after you were all done decorating it. I know you do a great job.

Re: Christmas trees
We have a very nice 7' fake tree. Looks very nice when decorated. Like others have said, with our pets (kids ) in the house I don't get the live trees anymore. Loved the smell and look of a real tree. Don't miss the mess. We have a nice 8' Blue Spruce in our yard that we decorated this year. Looked very nice until we got some 35-45mph wind gusts now some of the yard has garland and satin balls and our fence lost some of the garland and bows. Tis the season

Re: Christmas trees
If i had my pick, i'd go without the real trees. Growing up the way i did, the people I was with always had real trees and as a kid it didn't bother me that much because that wasn't what i was focused on. I was more paying attention as to try to sit down without getting those tree needles in my ass.
Now... i think the smell would bother me to some extent.

Re: Christmas trees
I'd llike a real tree if i were home. have wanted to get a "charlie Brown" tree for years. It's my humor--hehe
A nice big shiney Stainless steel one would be nice too. With lots of lights of course. :D Sorry that's the truck driver in me.--hehe

Re: Christmas trees
I've got no sense of smell (no, really! it's like having a blind nose) so a real tree just mean more cleaning to me. Don't have any decorations up right now, but planning to buy a fake tree on Sunday... It's my first year living alone, I have to start somewhere :D
