In the wake of the ice storms
Who else is being affected by the ice storms?
It's been icing for several days now, doesn't look like it's gonna end anytime soon either.
Sure, It's kinda pretty to look outside and see what looks like a mystical magicland of crystal willows and sparkling landscapes....but easy for me to see the beauty of it, I still have electric, no trees or large limbs have toppled over on to my car or house from the weight of the ice.

Chazzy,
My heart goes out to you, hang in there. That big storm is heading our way. We have a winter warning from today (Tuesday) all the way till Thursday. Then we have a classic nor easter moving up the coast and will hit on Sunday. 12 inches or more. Should be fun aye?

At least I have electric! So many don't. Last year's ice storm was much worse, it wasn't safe to even walk outside.
I'd step out on my porch and just see and hear tree after tree falling all around us.
The last weather check I saw predicted another day or two of ice, then the snow comes...I'd love to see some snow.

Yes you guys are taking it hard. I remember the ice storm of 89 when we had a couple of inches of ice all over the place, it even screwed up the maple syrup production.
