Re: December 7
Thank you JSCO for posting this! I was writing a check yesterday, and when it came to filling out the date it struck me, this is Pearl Harbor Day...but I know I saw nothing on my calender, I asked the cashier while writing the check, she turned to look at the calendar behind the counter...nothing noted there, she remarked that she knows nothing was marked on her calendar at home either...
When did we stop recognizing this day in history?

Re: December 7
Yup not many left I think they reported only 7 survivors from the USS Oklahoma. Then made the trip to Hawaii to the memorial.
Not to steal their thunder or dishonor the remaining survivors, I have another reason for remember this day, this is the day my Guard Unit was activated for Desert Storm in 1990.

Re: December 7
Not much at all from the news either. Just a small note about the attack on Pearl Harbor. There was nothing on my calendar either.

Yes, i feel it is a shame that the news media barely mentioned this. Guess they're too busy telling their version of cuurent news.

I can never wake up on that day without saying a big "thank you" to all that keep us free.
