Webcams?
Can anyone tell me if pictures from webcams can be recorded by the person watching? Just a question that we cant seem to get answered.

My gut tells me, yes. But then I have never heard of anyone doing that. So in other words, I don't have a clue.

Yes, there are programs for that, some are downloaded free off the net.

Just do a keyword search using "webcam capture" and you'll see how much software and programs are out there for doing it.

It depends on the program you're using to cam with...you'd need a different cam to capture one messenger vs. a chatroom cam. Some are tougher than others...but a determined person will be able to manage it.
It's pretty rare, though...I've never heard of anyone I know personally that's had the problem....

I'd always assume that I could be recorded for the sake of safety...
Although I generally wouldn't cam with anyone if I didn't trust them enough to either not-record me, or not distribute the recording.
Not that anyone would likely want to see it if it did "go public" but I think that works as a general rule

There is a program called camtasia that records what is on your screen in real time so it could capture the webcam, haven't used it for that. I use it for capturing powerpoints to make self-learning modules.

Actually, it is a pretty easy thing to do, the software programs are really user friendly, take very little time to install and learn to use.
