'Tis the season to people watch..........
I just love this time of the year. The time to agree to accompany my wife to the mall if only to sit outside in the corridors and watch the world go by.
What part of the world, you ask? Why, the people silly!!
While just sitting there, waiting for my wife to exit a store laden with mucho bags and packages, I spot a lovely couple strolling with their three children......let me paint a more apt picture for you. The dad(?) is about oh......140lbs, 5ft7in and about 35y/o and unshaven for about 3 days, wearing the latest in an OLD NAVY wife beater top, matching stained jeans with accompanying long key chain and lookin' sharp as a tack as he trails proudly behind the parade!!! The mom, standing 5ft10in, weighing in at a svelte 275lbs, looking utterly stunning in the latest WALMART private label circus tent outerwear with bedroom style hair and 3in long nails. The children are so well behaved, what, with them screaming and running ahead of the rest....and mom and dad not caring one way or another.
I see this and similar sights and I always ask myself, "do these people own a mirror and do they actually look at themselves and say "Oh I like what I see"!!
I know I'll get a lot of flack to this post as being "insensitive" but does anyone else see these same sights? What do you think of people that are so low life that they are "insensitive" to the pain that I must endure looking at them?

My wonder at that particular instance in the mall was of "how drunk was the husband to climb that mountain and actually get "excited" enough to impregnate her....and how desperate was she to allow her much smaller mate to take her to the promised land?
I know some people cannot afford to shop anywhere other than discount stores but WALMART seems to specialize in the "designer" wear that those two stunning human beings were donning! I never see low rent individuals modeling WALMART and OLD NAVY fashions on TV.

Re: 'Tis the season to people watch..........
Hey, I often pop out for a quick errand shopping with my stained work clothes on, stained from gardening, cleaning the basement, painting and stripping and other renovations are constantly going on in this house.
I would never ever comment on anyone's obesity...I don't know their circumstances, health, or hereditary conditions and factors. I do not judge.
People often work overtime, long hours in factories that don't require a well dressed wardrobe, and with childcare costing out the ass, and groceries, gas...a couple trying to provide for children is a tiring and exhausting duty...parents are tired and frayed.
I do try to dress in clean fresh clothes, comb my hair, and slap on a little makeup when I have a day of errands to run...but I have no shame is saying that allot of my fresh clean clothes come off the Walmart Clearance rack, VB...times have been real tough around here the past few years, hopefully we are pulling out of our dire straights now, and if the fact that my clean blouse came off the Walmart Clearance rack lessens your opinion of me, then that would be your problem, I'm proud to live within my means, do my best and not let the judgement of other people beat down my self esteem.

Re: 'Tis the season to people watch..........
I guess I shall no longer offer opinions as to what I see. I guess I'm very un-pc as to my long held opinions and expectations of what minimum standards people should be held to in the way of appearance. Silly me, I was under the assumption that if you looked like you crawled out from a box, you were treated accordingly. Man were my parents idiots. So not with it!!
Moving on to choice of shopping locales, just because you are forced to shop at a WALMART for instance doesn't mean you have to look "WALMART". Is it a fashion statement to look your worst out in public?
If I see one more tshirt, I'll put my eyes out with a snow shovel!!! How the f**k did that piece of clothing ever become a fashion statement? It's a f**kin' under garment people, not an outer garment!!
The bash VB line forms here so climb aboard and take your best shot! I'm a big boy, I can take it.....

My last commet on this , I won't give you the attention you are so craving. Differences are what make the world go around. Fortunately for the rest of the world we all don't have the same narrow minded pompous attitude as you. Kindness and tolerance are virtues I admire. Everyone isn't as perfect as you, fortunately

Oh I'm very sorry to offend you to the point of calling me pompous, narrow minded and seeking attention. I repeat, I will refrain from any further public observations. Consider this an apology if I offended you in any way.

You would look like a good catch even you wore a old burlap bag. Now if you would stand still long enough, just then, maybe I could catch you. But you just keep running away. Hummmmm maybe your telling me something.

Re: 'Tis the season to people watch..........
We can attack the topic, but not the person.
There's one thing for sure, there's more to people than what we often see on the "surface".
Just as we feel VB shouldn't judge the couple at the mall for the way they dressed and looked, I guess for us to be truly non-judgemental, we should not judge VB or anyone else because we feel a few posts they've made were insensitive.
I myself, have to juggle parts of me here, the moderator part with the rules and guidlines, the "person that I am" part of me that has opinions, feelings and my own life long personal history and philosophy to follow just to be true to myself.
Ohhh...ya know...I just can't be mad at any of you for more than a minute, a second even...you all in one way or another have honed my ability to sympathize, empathize, tolerate and look inward, to look hard at myself....and I'm a better person everyday for it.

i personally wear t-shirts all the time. i wear them because they are inexpensive, and comfortable...if you don't like it...don't f'n look at me. if you have a problem with the way us Wal-Mart shopper's dress?..go spend your hard earned money at Macy's or Bloomingdale's...just remember that you'll be paying twice as much, for the same quality.
