Christmas busy list
Do you find with the Christmas season coming that you vow to have this year be a time when you can slow down and enjoy the season? I find every year that I have great intentions to take my time through the season and then find that things are still just as rushed as they were in the years prior! I ran away for the weekend this last weekend and made a point to take my time and enjoy all that I had around me. I did get to do that and now that I'm back home seems like things didn't change much with me being gone for the weekend. Seems that everything for me to do was still here waiting for me! I was so glad that I took the time to run away and just take time to smell the roses. Now this week will be crazy again getting ready! My grand daughter has a school program tomorrow night and then on Wednesday I'm having her and one of my employees come over to help me put up my tree and all the decorations. I do love this time of year, but it sure was nice to be able to slow down for one weekend and not have anyone to answer to and just do what I wanted to do! Hope everyone can take at least one day and slow down and enjoy the season to it's fullest!

Re: Christmas busy list
UGh....I'm so behind in all the holiday stuff....haven't sent out any cards yet, but the holiday things that matter the very most to me are done...
Okay, husband hasn't been working too long at his new job yet, but at least there's an income now and I've been able to over the past month buy extra food items so when the Boy Scouts had their pick up day of collecting food for the local food pantry, I had bags and bags to put out on my front porch for them...and I was able to put a few bucks in the collection can for the local program "shop with a cop"...that's where they take donations, and the local cops take underpriviled kids shopping for Christmas....and I've been able to make a few modest contributions to the "toys for tots" collection bins too....these are my favorite holiday things, and these are the only things that ever make me wish I were rich, so I could do more..I do what I can, but it never feels like enough for me, I wish I could do so much more.
