32 days until..........
I was looking at my calendar and counting down the days until I leave for LAS VEGAS and suddenly, I had an attack of reality. I am only 32 days away from experiencing the ultimate de-balling experience that a true heterosexual man can ever endure. I'm not talking about physical torture or for that matter a bridal shower but.....sitting through a 90 minute BARRY MANILOW show.
Back in September, during a "vulnerable moment", I promised my wife I would take her to any show she wanted to see while we are in LAS VEGAS. Little did I know, she would choose.....BARRY. Oh, the humanity!!!!!!!
I have been reminded any number of times since she told me about the show, not to make sport of BARRY. I can't help myself, the man(?) is horrible to look at, listen to, think about, ect ect ect.......Have you seen this "man" on television lately? 
I am now hoping to be struck by lightening or maybe be a victim in a hit and run. That might do me in before the night of 12/27/2007.
Come on and help a friend. Pray for me and grant me that one Xmas wish that keeps on giving.....a coma!!! lol

For crying out loud Man what were you thinking?? "Vulnerable moment" my ass, you must have been a coma, that will be 90 minutes of your life you'll never get back. But....better you than me, haha

Maybe if I were to put a vice around my testicles, wear it to the concert and just before he comes on, tighten it just enough to cause excruciating pain,  then maybe I could get through it.......'ya think?

On the other hand --- have you thought about how your wife is going to thank you -- I know if I had someone that sweet, that payback would be amazing for both of us!

I have been told, in so many words, not to joke about or mention Mr. MANILOW in any way, shape or form negative or otherwise, for the remainder of my natural life or it could be terminated on a moments notice.
On the bright side, she might just "reward " me for being a good boy during the concert. I don't know if I can do it!!

I understand not wanting to go, but if you go with the neg attitude, she will definitely sense it,( she is a woman you know LOL) and if you ruin it for her there may be no reward. if i despised going as much as you seem to, I just wouldn't go, why ruin it for her. Just my opinion, unsolicited as it is.

Having been married 31 years (Dec 4th), I've learned to not say I won't do something when she has made up her mind to do it. I always lose!! She would embarrass me at the concert if I was to show any negativity. She would have made a great lawyer.......

I remember hearing Manilow once saying that he loves that all his female fans like him for who he is, and not wanting to just jump his bones. Hmmm, I don't think he hasn't got much choice really? lol !
