FBMI
The Federal Bureau of Miscellaneous Information says the hole in the ozone layer has shrunk and could be completely closed by 2025.
I'm wondering if this is why "global warming" is more prevelent. No place for the "greenhouse" gases to go?

Re: FBMI
I heard that the hole was getting smaller, then you hear that things are reaching a dangerous level. I think certain people like to scare us all out of our cars and to live with no heating in our houses!!!

Re: FBMI
You need to watch inconvenient truth, in it he alludes to companies trying to cover it up for their own benefit. It was very eye opening

Re: FBMI
Here's a few facts for ya. The environmental groups and any other "special interest" groups have no real concern about their cause. It's simply a matter of how much noise they can make to increase the revenue they recieve from people. Sorry, tis true. Patt (parents against tired truckers), MADD (Mothers against drunk drivers), Greenpeace and the Sierra club are all the same. They simply make enough noise and tend to tell only part truths on the facts. I'm not saying that global warming isn't happening, but rather why it may be happening. It's proven that the sun has been getting more powerful every year since--forever, and will contiue to. It's also a proven fact that no matter what we in the US do, it will NOT make any appreciable difference in the world wide pollution problem. it's China and other developing countries that need to make improvements. A very good example of this is the new diesel. CAlifornia got new diesel regualtions passed in CA and at the national level all because they found "diesel emmisions too high" in one valley. Sorry forgot the name but this is mainly a farming area. Couldn't be the emmissions be from farm equipment? In TN they made it law and lowered the truck speed limit around major cities to 55. Why? Because they said it was the emissions from the truck that were causeing pollution problems. Never mind the coal fired power plants.

Re: FBMI
I don't need polls, studies, statistics to tell me that overworked truckers who drive sleep deprived (or anyone who drives anything sleep deprived) and drunk or drugged drivers cause unecessary death and tragedy.
(Yeah, so do cell phoners, texters, smokers, etc...)
I don't mind seeing public service annoucements, ads, billboards.
I'm not gonna pick on MADD, that organization was born out of countless, senseless deaths due to drunk driving...bottom line... God bless 'em and all the work they have done, they've made a real difference!

Nancy Reagan said it best.----" Just say NO!"
PS: The founder of MADD was arrested for DUI 2 years ago. Her excuse was that she was under stress and was trying to relax.

Re: FBMI
Oh right, I do remember hearing about that DUI! That was just unexcusable.
I support MADD, the local chapters are usually run by high schoolers, and they really have their hearts behind the cause.
