Grey Cup 2007
The Saskatchewan Roughriders won the CFL West final in Vancouver today defeating the BC Lions by a score of 26 - 17. They go on to play the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Toronto next Sunday for the CFL [Grey Cup] championship. Winnipeg won the East final by defeating the Toronto Argonauts 19 - 9. Go Roughriders go.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have only won the Grey Cup twice in their long history, 1966 and 1989. They are favoured to win this year because Winnipeg's starting Quarterback suffered a broken arm in the Eastern final and the backup has never started a professional game. The pressure on this young fellow will be heavy.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders were victorious yesterday. They defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers by a score of 23 - 19. The entire province of Saskatchewan is celebrating and the many countless loyal die-hard Roughrider fans throughout Canada and the United States are also in celebration mode. This is the 3rd Grey Cup win for Saskatchewan and hopefully they will win more as the years progress. This was the 95Th Grey Cup championship in the long history of the Canadian Football League.
