Re: Online Bullies
Any bullying just shows how weak and insecure they are with themselves. Its a shame that adults are behind this one. I'll use the term "adults" loosely.

Re: Online Bullies
I HATE bullies, they are the lowest of the low, picking on others and making their lives so unhappy. I would be devastated and angry if my boys ever bullied. I used to always stick up for kids being bullied when i was at school, and the time i was there, not much bulling happened.
When someone is bullied it can have devastating results. The students in my school, know if they come to me, i will do everything in my power to stop the bullying.

Re: Online Bullies
I confronted the bullies when i was a student and now as a teacher i hope the kids have enough respect for me that they will listen and understand the harm they are doing. The sad thing is some kids don't realize what affect their actions have,
On the other hand, an adult knows exactly the affect their actions will have on another person, and that makes them a very low individual

Re: Online Bullies
My God daughter has these things happen to her all the time. She's a very popular girl (cheerleader/athlete) and her parent's recently found out one of the mother's was telling her daughter what to write on her page. It was disgusting behavior of an adult. Teenagers can be mean enough without their parent's assistance in these matters. We wonder why our teens have such vial and disgusting behaviors...look to their family, I'll bet you will see a little of them looking back at you.

Re: Online Bullies
I always tell my boys, "Treat others the way you would like them to treat you".
That is how i treat people and hope they do the same in return.
That is terrible juils, they should be prosecuted for doing that and any adult who knowingly encourages their child to bully should be dealt with.

Re: Online Bullies
When my son was little he would get picked on but he was OK. He is a gentle person into theater singing acting, very kind. I was there one day when another kid was being picked on , my son put his arm around the kid ans said come here and play with us . With the other arm he pushed the bully away. Bully did nothing, he was shocked and probably scared shitless cuz someone stood up to him. I was sooooo freakin proud. A lil kid handled it as an adult, actually better than I would

Re: Online Bullies
It's infuriating and tragic, kids don't even have a fully formed, fully functional brain yet, but for adults to pull this kind of crap...it's just a shame that these weak minded adults won't and can't be charged with anything...yet...but oh they are so trying to dig up something to throw at them, anything at all.

Re: Online Bullies
Such a tragic story, Megan's parents tried, they tried to only let her use her myspace while supervised, but teens ya know...we use to keep journals and diaries in a pretty book with a sweet little lock on it, but the internet has changed allot of things, allot of good, allot of bad too.

Hey, I'm not one to wish harm to anyone, but I do hope this woman does serve some time...there's just no excuse for what she did.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- A Missouri mother was indicted Thursday in the case of a teen who killed herself after being taunted on the social networking site MySpace.com.
Megan Meier, 13, hanged herself in her bedroom after being targeted in a MySpace hoax.
1 of 2 A federal indictment accuses Lori Drew, 49, of O'Fallon, Missouri, of using a MySpace account to pose as a 16-year-old boy and feign romantic interest in the girl.
The girl, Megan Meier, committed suicide after her online love interest spurned her, according to prosecutors, telling her the world would be a better place without her.
Drew faces up to 20 years in prison on charges of conspiracy and accessing protected computers to obtain information to inflict emotional distress.
The indictment, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, accuses Drew and others of registering on MySpace as "Josh Evans" and using the account to start an online romance with Meier.
Authorities have previously said that Drew set up the account to find out what Meier, who lived in her neighborhood, was saying about her daughter.
Prosecutors allege that Drew and the others violated MySpace's terms of service by using false information to create the account so they could "harass, abuse or harm" Meier, according to the indictment.
The two corresponded for about four weeks before "Josh" broke off the relationship, authorities said. Within an hour, Meier hanged herself in her room and died the next day.
