The Remains of the Day...
So...it's nearing the end of another day...how was it for ya? Did ya have a pretty good one or are ya just glad it's nearly over?
I dunno...mine was kinda hectic, the night shift working husband was just fussy all day and wouldn't sleep...my poor 16 year old dog, he just wasn't feeling well today either and needed allot of extra attention...but in spite of all that...I've been a mellow girl all day.

Re: The Remains of the Day...
Actually, my day sucked, but my attitude is mellow...the day did suck though...whiney fussy husband, constipated dog, a cat in heat that make the most obnoxious loud yowling noises I've ever heard....maybe it's not mellow I'm feeling...maybe it's exhaustion.

Re: The Remains of the Day...
Wasn't a bad day, all the kids are fine, bathed and in bed. Laundry clean if not folded. Resting quietly hanging out on the computer, must be on the positive side of life if my kids are happy and healthy and I still have a job to get up and go to in the morning.

Re: The Remains of the Day...
I hear ya....all that really matters to me is that I've done my very best to make sure every living thing in this house is happy, healthy and well fed! (...and cleaned up after)

Re: The Remains of the Day...
I had a great day today. Got one big job done at work and now working on another. It is so nice and easier to be busy at work than to have to find work for employees to do to keep them busy. Got my laundry done tonite, so I don't have to go to work naked tomorrow, lol. And I got the commons area clean at the complex.

Re: The Remains of the Day...
The remains of today are gonna be very painful for me. I went to the track with my kids yesterday... just for a nice stroll. Then I come up with the stupid idea of racing my daughter. She didn't want to do it at first 'cause she thought I'd beat her (she ended up totally kickin' my ass, by the way).... I got halfway, realized I had my shoes on (I run better in bare feet), stopped and took them off. Started runnin' full speed when all of a sudden my legs didn't wanna cooperate! They turned to jelly on the spot! Reckon I should've kept my shoes on
I knew I was goin' down. All I could do was turn to one side to make sure I didn't go down face first
Ever seen that dermabrasion procedure that doctors do? Well, run full speed on a black top track and fall and you can get the same results without payin' a dime!
My foot, my leg, my hip, my shoulder, my hand... pretty much the whole left side of my body is scratched to hell.
Maybe I'll stick to racin' Tater... slow and steady

Re: The Remains of the Day...
Hope your boo boo's get better fast moon. Great description. My day started out very interesting and just got more interesting as it went on. Was getting dressed and one of my tenants came knocking at my door hollering the police were here. Wow, did I finish getting dressed fast! Minor issue that two of my employees had and was taken care of quickly. Had several employees throw some major fits today. I haven't checked the calendar yet, but I know there has to be a full moon coming soon. lol The evening has been fantastic just relaxing and chatting with friends.

Re: The Remains of the Day...
I don't mind y'all laughin' about it. That's the first thing my hubby did when I told him about it. I knew he would. He wouldn't have laughed when it happened but the description was funny. My 7 year old said he didn't see me fall and asked me to do it again! I remember my kids hovering over me and my daughter asking me if I see white. I thought she meant like I was gonna pass out or somethin'. She was talkin' about seein' bone. I did tear a huge chunk of skin off the palm of my hand. I remember tellin' the kiddos as they were hovering over me, "y'all lay down with me... let's just chill for a minute." My daughter was anxious to get me home and bandaged up. She's such a momma hen for her young age
And yes, I've got PLENTY of neosporin!
