REALLY SORRY
I had to do this, and i'm not really sorry as i'm a big kid and with all the adverts and the start of arrangements at school, i couldn't help myself. so....
IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS
I love all the adverts and the christmas shopping. My boys want to make sausage rolls and mince pie's this year. I can't wait to put my decorations up at the end of November outside and beginning of December inside.
I just love this time of year. What do you like about the Christmas count down.
Did i mention I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!

Re: REALLY SORRY
You are something hehehehe, I love the feeling Christmas gives people, like what it is doing to you now. I love being with family and friends , the gift thing is old to me now as my children are older but the feeling of being with loved ones is great. last Christmas there were less gifts on purpose agreed upon by all family and I think it was my best one yet,but there were more hugs

Re: REALLY SORRY
I love holidays, I love Christmas...but I prefer to celebrate them in the order they fall on the calender, I don't like see everything done up for Christmas in the store before Halloween even hits!
I first want to plan and celebrate Thanksgiving, then I move on to Christmas.

Re: REALLY SORRY
I do love holidays! I got the notice for the annual boy scout food drive yesterday, and it's a favortie part of my Christmas holiday, every trip to the market, I'lll shop for extra stuff for the drive, till I have just bags and bags of stuff for the pick up...sure they want all that healthy canned goods stuff, but I get a kick out of shopping for stuff like boxed complete dinners, and boxes of hot cocoa with marshmellows, the cute funny flavored jellos ...something I just picture children in the household would be thrilled with.

Re: REALLY SORRY
I love the holidays too, I'll start decorating the day after Thanksgiving, I like to make it magical for big and small alike. I usually have my shopping done by the end of October but I've only purchased one gift so far this year. I have to have all of my shopping done by December 10th this year and have a list of "to do's" a mile long. Whew, just thinking of it all makes my heart start pumping (in a fun, excited kind of way)...guess I better get started!
My family is trying to be together on Christmas Day this year since it is the first anniversary of Mom's passing away, we are determined to have a celebration of her life, hard to believe it has almost been a year!

It makes it that much harder losing someone over the Christmas period, my thoughts are with you.

Thank you so much for your thoughts but I don't know that Christmas will be any harder because of losing Mom on that day. I think the day to day stuff is the hardest, I saw my Mom almost every day before her illness (five out of seven days in a week). I think the hardest part is when my kids do something and I want to pick up the phone and tell her about it. Or when my little one says, "Momma, I miss Gran." The sell of her house was final last week and now a new family can start making Christmas memories there. I sat down and wrote them a little note about the family and the love that lived there before them...I always wondered about what the people were like that lived here before me so hopefully the love that is in the home I grew up in will radiate to them. The laughter, the love, the family will always echo in my memories. You have to look at it as blessings...my memories of her at the holidays...sewing our Christmas dresses when we were little, shopping for her grandchildren that very last holiday...those will be the most wonderful moments of the season.
And thank you HBG for your thoughts...you are very special to me.
